However, it is a spy thriller in the same way that Love, Actually was a film about politics. Yes, LA was for a prime minister, but it was a love story. Black Pigeons, to me, was a romantic/buddy comedy with a spy theme thrown in for a bit of a bang. I love a good spy show and this was not one. It was a pretty good romantic/buddy comedy though, so I recommend giving it a try. Kieran Knightley and Ben Whishaw have great chemistry as partners in crime. There are nice comedic turns from various assassins. The gore is of the Tarantino type, which is fun but not exciting. All in all, great, fun acting.. No need to waste time endlessly scrolling — here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
