Day 1: Arrival to Cairo

Arrival to Cairo airport, Upon you arrival you will find our representative waiting you with the sign of Egypt Land Travel,, then you will be transferred by an A/C car to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids / Egyptian Museum

Breakfast. Start your day visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. On display is a rare collection of 5000 years of art the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry, as it was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated.

Visit the Great Pyramids – Cheops, Chephren & Mykerions. Cheops is the most colossal ever built. Next is a close-up look at Sphinx – a huge funeral complex guarded by the legendary lion body with the face of king Chephren.

Back to the hotel & overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Alexandria

Our Egypt Land Travel guide will pick you up from your hotel, Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit it’s open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. You can then also see the free museums/collections such as The Saddat Museum & impressions of Alexandria Museum.

Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and on every public holiday. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.

Visit the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria with the display of the sunken monuments of Alexandria which were discovered under the East harbor of Alexandria.

The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa, after which you will visit the old downtown of Alexandria where you can walk through the old city-center of Alexandria. Look at the traditional markets; where everything and anything is sold including traditional Egyptian sweets and treats. The architecture locally has baroque style designs and Italian and French style properties.

Visit El Nabi Daniel Mosque which is believed by many people to be related to Alexander the great tomb, It is said to contain the remains of the scholar and venerated teacher Prophet Daniel and his companion Sidi Lokman el Hakim, a religious story-teller.

Optional lunch stop at a modern Fish Restaurant or a famous and traditional Alexandrian food place called Mohamed Ahmed’s. The Queen of Spain and many famous people go there when they visit Alexandria.

Optional: Take a break in either a good quality coffee shop or at a traditional shisha cafe.

Continue your tour by passing through the oldest market area in Mansheya and see the traditional womens’ markets (zan’et etsetat) with very thin and narrow streets, gold market also exists here where everyone buys their wedding and engagement jewellery.

The car will then take you to visit the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, and the strangest sight outside it: an old funfair where children play on very antique funfair rides and eat candy floss.

Opposite is the corniche and the old harbour where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world . A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop.

The car will then take you to the gardens of Montaza. On the way you can quickly have a optional 2 minute stop by the King of Mango and drink at Alexandrian’s drive thru freshly squeezed juices plus have a photo stop at the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria.

The beautiful coastline and all the views of the city are en route to Montaza Palace and gardens which is approx 25 km away, including the old harbor of Alexandria where we found 7000 monuments underwater.

Once in Montaza Gardens, commonly known as the Love Garden (all romantic couples and families go there) you will visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as walk along the famous Montaza bridge and reach the Tea Palace island and see the royal beaches of the queens.

Overnight in Alexandria.

Day 4: Old Islamic & Coptic Cairo

Breakfast. Transfer to Cairo by AC vehicle. Arrive and Start your tour visiting the Citadel of Salah El Din, The Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, after that you will move to Old Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, Abu Sirga Church and Synagogu, finally move to your hotel in Cairo.

Travel in comfort back to your hotel, Overnight in Cairo.

Day 5: Luxor

Breakfast. Transfer to take the flight to Luxor. Arrival and transfer to start your tour to the West Bank – Valley of the Kings, Colossal of Memnon and Hatshepsut Temple. Excursion to the Necropolis of Thebes. Crossing the Nile, drive to the Valley of Kings; visit the tombs of various Dynasties.

The Temple of Deir El Bahari. On the return journey stop at the Colossi of Memnon which are two gigantic sitting statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile. and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
Move to the east bank of Luxor to visit the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history and was dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu.

It was constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom to the Graeco Roman Kingdom. Then move to Luxor Temple. It was built by Amunhotep III in 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. King Ramses II was the most famous king in the 19th Dynasty. He ruled Egypt for about 67 years. It was dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu together representing the Theban triad. Enjoy visiting Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon.

Transfer to the hotel & overnight in Luxor.

Day 6: Aswan

Breakfast .

(Optional) Hot Balloon: Should you want to make your stay in Luxor an unforgettable. Drifting peacefully over the Valley of King, Valley of the Queens and the Mountain on the Nobles.
The flight is approximately 30:45 minutes depend on the weather

Transfer to Aswan by train. Arrival, and transfer to the hotel. Start your Tour of High Dam-Temple of Philae Island Sail to the island of Agilkia. Visit the temple that was removed from their original island of Philae which lies submerged most of the year by the waters of Lake Nasser. The main Temple of Isis and its monuments were built between the 26th-dynasty and the Roman period.

Return to the mainland and drive to Aswan for a view of the high Dam which was completed in 1964. From here you can gaze across Lake Nasser. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 7: Aswan / Sharm El Sheikh

Breakfast, Transfer to take the flight to Sharm El Sheikh. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Sharm.

Day 8: Sharm Free day

Breakfast. Free day.

(Optional boat trip) Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and transfer you to take the boat to Ras Mohamed that commands a panoramic vista of Asia on the left and Africa on the right. It is one of the best diving sites worldwide. Its sparkling stretch of beach has mangroves on its edges, the unique encampment of colorful Bedouins in sight and views of the islands of Tiran scattered through the blue sheet of Aqaba gulf. Ras Mohamed does not contain the best corals in the world but the amount and the variety of fish and sea life that can be seen is like nowhere else in the world.

Overnight in Sharm El Sheikh.

Day 9 : Sharm – Cairo Memphis & Sakkara

Breakfast. Transfer to Cairo by flight. Arrival and transfer to start your tour to Sakkara which is 27-Km Southwest of Cairo. Including a visit to the step Pyramids of Sakkara (The first proper Pyramids built for the king Zoser, it is considered evolution of the Pyramid from the simple Mastaba to the Pyramid in its known form) Followed by a visit to The Pyramids of Unas. Then Memphis the ancient capital of Egypt where Colossal Statue of Ramses II and thegreat Alabaster Sphinx. Transfer to the hotel.

(Optional) Dinner Cruise including transportation, dinner, Belly Dancer, Tanura Show.

Overnight in Cairo.

Day 10: Final Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred Airport for final departure.

Hotel Rating in Egypt:

Hotel Rating in Egypt: Kindly note that the hotel rating in Egypt is not the same as in USA or Europe, so Luxury hotels option or 5 stars are always recommended as minimum in Egypt. As some 5 stars seems like 4 stars or 3 stars according to our clients’ feedback.

The 3* & 4 * hotels aren’t recommended at all as we receive complaints about them.

Travelling by overnight train NOT RECOMMENDED:

We don’t recommend it, it takes15 to 18 hours on a very noisy train. The toilets are not good and smelly. Food is not good in general. Beds: moderately comfortable. Comment from a client: “However, I am 6’0″ (183 cm) tall and barely fit into the bed — anyone taller would have to curl up.”

If you don’t fancy travelling by overnight sleeper train then upgrade to our flight option. Enjoying extra nights of comfort in 5* hotel accommodation. We recommend that you upgrade this transfer to domestic flight. Extra supplement for a 1 way flight and 1 night at 5 star hotels is 150$ per person. Xmas. New Year and Easter supplements apply. Requests for specific flight times or changes to previously booked reservations may result in changes to the total price of the package. Some flights to sharm or Hurghada are indirect flights via Cairo Airport.

Tour price currency is set to USD but you can pay in Euro or British pound.The prices quoted per person per tour all inclusive and prices are always updated to ensure you receive the lowest price possible. Once your tour is confirmed we guarantee the price will not be changed.

2 – 5.99 pay 25% of tour price and 50% of tour price if it includes flights or sleeper train

6 – 11.99 pay 50% of tour price

12+ pay full tour price as per adult person

If your tour package includes airfare then an extra charges for your children may apply.

Additional Entry Tickets

All tours don’t include entrance fees to special archaeological sites such as walking inside one of the pyramid to see the deep burial chambers and the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo or to enter the Tomb of Tutankhamen at Valley of the Kings in Luxor are also available at extra cost.

Time & Voltage

Egypt is 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Standard voltage is 220 volts. Primary sockets require the European, 2 pronged variety. We recommend that you pack a universal travel adaptor. You will need a voltage converter, and plug adaptor in order to use U.S. appliances

Essential Packing

Comfortable, flat (preferably covered) shoes are needed for the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Pack flip flops/sandals to wear aboard the Nile felucca or Nile Cruiser.
