Eddie and Venom are on the run from both worlds. As circumstances close in, they are forced to make a heartbreaking choice that could spell the end of their symbiotic partnership. Take a look at some of our favorite superheroes in costume and incognito. Which transformation is your favorite? Before Kelly Marcel was hired to direct the third film, Andy Serkis, who is directing Venom 2 (2021), expressed interest in returning to direct another Venom film, and felt that there was more to explore with Venom in future films before the character meets Spider-Man in a future MCU/SSU crossover film, including a deeper exploration of the Ravencroft Institute and other potential villains held there. In a wide shot of Las Vegas, you can see the Sphere, a structure that was completed and opened in 2023. However, in the film, Eddie mentions that he and Venom have been together for a year. The first Venom movie is set in 2018, which makes this movie set in 2019, 4 years before the Sphere was supposed to exist. Venom: Eddie… My House Found Us… Featured in The 7PM Project: Episode dated October 25, 2024 (2024). “Venom: The Last Dance” is a messy buddy road trip where you have to turn off your brain… again. Is it perfect? No, not at all. I think there are way too many plots here, and the main one had potential, but it was wasted in typical Sony fashion. The “Spider-Man 4” rumors were overblown in my opinion, so temper your expectations. The Eddie/Venom duo is still fun. I mean Tom Hardy and the banter between them… I’m sorry, the banter between Hardy and himself is the best part of these movies (Hardy voices Venom). The humor is there, but I can’t say I laughed much, as most of the jokes are once again childish. It has to be a bit more emotional overall, since this is supposed to be the last time we see Venom (I have no doubt), but it ends up being a bit hollow. Knull is there… I guess, but I’ll see how and when they use him again… it’s Sony after all. It’s a popcorn movie that reminds me of early 2000’s comic book movies. The action in the third act is good for the most part and there are a few funny moments here and there. Are there any plot holes and problems with the story? Yes. It’s just another “turn off your brain” Sony movie. There are two credits scenes, the first one is quite important, the second one not so much.
