The never-ending origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies but once friends rather than brothers, who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. Megatron’s original name D-16 is a reference to the Japanese serial number of the original Generation 1 Megatron toy released by the Takara company in 1984. Transformers One is not a cliché, nor is it the typical story where we often see the superficial good vs. evil battle that prevails in most movies. Here we finally get a wonderfully told story. We get a chance to see what Optimus and Megatron were like as regular robots and explore what their personalities were like when they were nobody. Optimus’ noble nature is brilliantly portrayed, as is his sacrifice, hope and longing for something. bigger. Megatron, on the other hand, is portrayed as a depressed character who, after learning the real truth, breaks down and becomes filled with rage as he gains more power. As their power grows, the paths of these two friends diverge more and more. Optimus Prime is rewarded for his nobility, while Megatron is consumed by extreme rage. The film is very well written, without forced humor, and the humor that is present works perfectly. Also, the other characters in the film have depth and personality, which makes this animated film feel much more serious than it first appears. All in all, it is a movie that you are sure to enjoy.
