It tells the story of three very different families vying to buy the very same 1920s Spanish style villa that they think will solve all their problems.. If you are looking at this show through a narrative lens the pieces don't fit. There were lots of red herrings. We dive so far into each character's backstory that the overall story doesn't feel strong enough to stay on track. It all comes together in the end. It definitely would be stronger without the ensemble. There are lots of familiar faces so I understand why they did that. There were some weak characters, both in writing and performance. Some of the others seemed to struggle with the balance of comedy and drama. I think it's time Netflix gave Linda Cardellini her own show. Best part by far.. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our December calendar for more!
