Cillian Murphy is a fan of the film’s original novelist, Claire Keegan
In 1985, devoted Father Bill Furlong uncovers disturbing secrets held by a local monastery and reveals shocking truths of his own. He remembers reading her novel "Foster" on the train and having to pull his hood over his face because he was crying.. Eileen Furlong: If you want to get into this life, there are things you have to ignore.
Cillian Murphy is incredibly amazing in this movie
60 Minutes: Crisis in the Red Sea / The Fake Electors / Finding Cillian Murphy (2024). Watching this movie, my eyes were glued to the screen from start to finish. But the emotions he shows in this movie and the way he acts through his body language and facial expressions are just great.
This movie was 1 hour and 45 minutes long
He is truly one of the best actors of this generation and Emily Watson is great as the Mother Superior. The tension she brings to every scene is fantastic. It really shows how horrible some of the nuns were back then.
The score and cinematography were so simple yet so effective
It even felt longer because I was so engrossed in it. They both really added to the movie and just gave it what it needed. Overall this movie was absolutely amazing and a very enjoyable watch.
I would love to see more movies like this in the future
It was also great to learn more about your country’s history, even if it is its darker side. “If you want to get on with life, there are things you have to ignore so you can keep going.” Eileen Furlong.
