To get the capybara sound, the sound engineer had to travel to a zoo and tickle the capybaras
The cat is a solitary animal, but as her home is devastated by a major flood, she finds refuge on a ship inhabited by different species and will have to bond with them despite their differences. The team was very adamant about getting "voices" to do real animals, so they recorded real animals for the film.
It was unexpectedly a very moving, emotional and engaging film
However, the real capybara sounds didn’t match the personality that the capybara character would have, so they used a baby camel for this sound instead. Without uttering a single word, time flies as you witness this rollercoaster of an adventure.
The world of the story is similar to our own, but it is devoid of people
The cat leads a happy life in what looks like a forest house when the world is engulfed by a massive flood. A story of struggle against extreme odds follows as Cat learns to rely on others to survive and begins to care for his unlikely companions.
Moving and uplifting
Masterful storytelling and character development meet deep empathy and clear themes, this film is for everyone. Absolutely loved it!
