After his release from prison, mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire with a cast of unlikely characters. In New York City, the borough of Manhattan, which are a series of numbered “Avenues”; intersected by smaller numbered streets. Sylvester Stallone absolutely kills it on Tulsa King! For Stallone to make a TV show, you knew it had to be a good script, and of course Taylor Sheridan would as the creator.
Everything he touches turns to gold
Sheridan keeps hitting home run after home run. He’s the best thing happening on TV right now with incredible shows like Yellowstone, 1883, The Mayor of Kingstown, etc. And movies like Sicario, Hell, or High Water and Wind River.
I mean, come on?
Plus, one of the other writers is Terence Winter, who wrote shows like The Sopranos & Boardwalk Empire. There was no way this show was going to be bad with those two at the helm. It has everything you want in a good show…
