Costner is a veteran actor as Dutton’s boss
John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often "forgets" His Montanan accent and drifting back to his usual SoCal speaking voice.. Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 Summer TV Shows Not on Your Radar (2018) (Review for first two seasons only) I didn’t expect to like this show, but The story, acting and cinematography are excellent. Basically it’s mafia wars in Montana with intermittent giant doses of testosterone (cows on horses with guns while fishing)!
The show gets gummy early in the second season but starts to roll again halfway through
The show is at its best when the chessboard shows the Duttons moving and their enemies engaged. Kelsey Asbille is the weakest link as Monica and plays a weak hand badly, the story is awkward and the acting just misses the mark. I think Cole Houser as Rip is probably the strongest performance (without Costner himself) and look forward to everything.
Darshan Rip was there
Thomas Rainwater is great too. The stories whisper and the scenery is beautiful. Cormac McCarthy’s "All The Pretty Horses" A bit more raw and brutal than the title suggests, this show also strikes in a similar way.
